About the role We are currently seeking banking and finance lawyers with the below expertise to join Peerpoint. If you are a highly-skilled and self-driven lawyer with top tier technical experience in these areas, then we are keen to hear from you. Corporate finance Derivatives/OTC derivatives regulation Structured finance/leveraged finance Financial markets compliance implementation Funds and investment management Project and infrastructure finance General banking Successful applicants will have: A right to work and reside in Australia Qualified to practice in Australia – unrestricted A minimum of four years’ post-qualification experience, ideally within a top tier law firm and a leading financial institution or corporate (directly, or as a secondee) Have a willingness to engage with Peerpoint as a casual employee or via an Independent Legal Practice Strong technical knowledge and experience in a common law jurisdiction is preferred Self-starter with a commitment to building a career as a consultant and a drive to achieve at a high level whilst working as a consultant Adept at leading or working within complex multi-functional, multi-national project environments Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface at all levels, building strong relationships internally and externally Client service-focused, with exemplary client service ethic and commitment Strong commercial/business acumen Resilient, adaptable, autonomous and highly credible Advanced organisational skills and diplomacyWhy be a Peerpoint consultant? Assignments can range from two to twelve months in duration and are usually worked four days’ per week. In the Allen & Overy practice on an ad-hoc basis, supporting teams when needed or joining them for fixed periods to work on a deal.We only take you on when we see a demand for your particular expertise, making sure there is a good chance we can provide you with work on an on-going basis.
