Job Description Greenberg Traurig is seeking a junior to mid-level patent associate to join its Intellectual Property group. We are looking for someone who is hard-working, personable and dedicated to providing clients with top-notch legal services. This position can be resident in various office locations; candidates should specify office location preference in application. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of relevant experience in the life sciences area. Experience includes, but is not limited to, evaluating patent portfolios, performing due diligence investigations, drafting and prosecuting patent applications, and patent portfolio management. Candidates should be registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office with a strong background in scientific fields relevant to biotechnology. Advanced degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry or Immunology is desired. Experience in a law firm is required. Candidates must have excellent academic credentials and communication skills. Candidates should possess leadership skills, be comfortable working directly with clients and work well with others. The expected annualized base salary range for this position is $205,000 to $325,000. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
