Some examples of work that our Melbourne team has worked on recently include: Advising a multi-national data centre operator on its regional expansion projects Advising one of big-4 banks on a global enterprise agreement with a top cloud provider Advising the Victorian Government on urgent ICT procurements and privacy issues relating to COVID-19 The Role Norton Rose Fulbright’s Corporate Technology, Media & Telecommunications practice group is recognised as one of the leading teams in Australia. Working closely with the partners you will have direct exposure to a diverse group of clients including government, data centre operators, financial institutions and large corporates. You will work on an array of front-end corporate and commercial matters including: Large scale procurement and outsourcing of ICT, telecommunications and other technology projects Development, licensing and commercialisation of technology Government procurement and administrative law issues Privacy and data protection Cybersecurity Emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and big data Requirements The successful candidate will need to be an engaging, and highly motivated individual with exceptional academic achievements. Education or industry experience in scientific, engineering or computing disciplines is desired but not essential. The candidate should be able to demonstrate: 2-4 years PQE with strong experience of transactional technology work Experience with matters involving technology procurement and outsourcing, telecommunications, e-business, privacy and cybersecurity Disciplined and commercial approach to complex problems.
