We do this through collaborative partnership with the business units we support by providing thoughtful and timely advice. In addition, the department conducts global monitoring and training activities that, detect, address and mitigate regulatory and reputational risk. The advice coupled with the monitoring and training activities provide the framework to support the firm’s business strategy and objectives while maintaining a high standard for integrity. </div> <div></div> <div> What You'll Do: </div> <div> As an attorney within the International Legal Team, you will execute your responsibilities in partnership with the Head of International Legal in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. You are comfortable managing competing priorities and providing thoughtful, well-reasoned guidance to nuanced circumstances so that we meet regulatory requirements and our fiduciary responsibility to our clients. Your exceptional interpersonal communication skills will help you as you collaboratively problem-solve situations to meet the expectations of demanding clients. You will utilize your intellectual curiosity as you keep abreast of all of the regulatory requirements and changes that impact the jurisdictions in which we conduct business. We expect that you will execute your responsibilities efficiently and effectively. If you possess the required qualifications and are eager to take on new challenges, we encourage you to apply for this position. </div> <div></div> <div> In this role, you should be able to: </div> <ul> <li> <div> Draft fund formation documentation for investment vehicles considering structure and tax implications for each jurisdiction during the formation process. </div></li> <li> <div> Strategize with your legal counterparts in the various jurisdictions to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. </div></li> <li> <div> Provide sound and comprehensive legal advice while considering AB’s business initiatives as well as managing client expectations to meet while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. </div></li> <li> <div> Utilize your knowledge of laws and regulations relating to fund formation and compliance in the U.S. and non-U.S. jurisdictions, including the U.K., Luxembourg, Hong Kong, and Ireland. </div></li> </ul> <div></div> <div> What We're Looking For: </div> <ul> <li> <div> Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school with 2-5 years of experience at a top law firm or as in-house counsel. </div></li> <li> <div> Admission to the bar, or admission to practice as in-house counsel, in the relevant jurisdictions is mandatory. </div></li> <li> <div> Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities, with a keen attention to detail and a proactive approach to managing legal risks. </div></li> <li> <div> Strong knowledge of securities laws, investment regulations, and regulatory frameworks governing mutual funds and financial products in multiple jurisdictions a plus. </div></li> </ul> Nashville, TennesseeLondon, UK </div></div>
