<div id="jobDescriptionText" class="jobsearch-jobDescriptionText"><div> <p><b>Overview: </b></p> <p>The NFL’s Corporate Legal Department supports the NFL's business activities across a variety of areas including sponsorship, product licensing, events, marketing, international, ticketing, and club business development, as well as League/club governance and policy matters. The Counsel –Legal &amp; Business Affairs will serve as a key resource for the cross-organizational development and implementation of various policies governing League and club commercial transactions and will also provide transactional support for various League business units in related areas and otherwise. </p> <p><b>Key Responsibilities: </b></p> <ul> <li>Transactional support (i.e., contract structuring, drafting and negotiation) across a variety of business units, with particular focus on gambling-related licensing transactions (e.g., sponsorships, consumer products, content distribution) . </li> <li>Manage the League’s portfolio of policies governing League and club commercial activities in sensitive and emerging categories (e.g., gambling, blockchain, alcohol), including identifying desirable policy updates in consultation with relevant League departments and driving consensus across key stakeholders throughout the League and clubs; presenting proposed policy updates to senior management; drafting and implementing new policies and policy changes; supporting clubs and internal business units with policy interpretation and compliance . Serve as key point of contact for club counsel on commercial policy matters and related transactions. The Counsel – Legal &amp; Business Affairs will also serve as the League’s primary legal resource to advise and support the League’s efforts to drive fan engagement through legalized sports betting activations across a broad array of League partners (e.g., corporate sponsors, media partners, consumer product licensees), working closely with League resources in the Compliance, Government Affairs, and Club Business Development departments </li> </ul> <p><b>Required Education and Experience: </b></p> <ul> <li>Juris Doctor degree from accredited law school </li> <li>At least eight years’ experience (combination of law firm and in-house preferred) handling large commercial transactions </li> </ul> <p><b>Qualifications: </b></p> <ul> <li>Work experience in the gambling and/or sports sectors a plus </li> <li>Strong organizational and time management skills (with ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects) </li> <li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills (with ability to build consensus across diverse interest groups, and clearly and concisely convey complex concepts) </li> <li>Skilled with Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint </li> </ul> <p><b>Salary / Pay Range </b></p> <p>This job posting contains a pay range, which represents the range of salaries that the NFL believes, in good faith, at the time of this posting that it might be willing to pay for the posted job in the location(s) specified. The NFL expects to hire for this position near the middle of the range.
