Starting salary is dependent on education, qualifications, and experience.</li> <li><b> Work Schedule</b> – This position is scheduled to work 4 days per week, 9 hours per day (36 hour work week), Monday through Thursday, 7:00am to 5:00pm.</li> <li><b> Environment</b> – Light Work: Exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Must be able to lift a minimum of 15* pounds unassisted. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of force greater than that for Sedentary Work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work.</li> </ul> <br> <b> THE ROLE:</b> <br> Under general direction is responsible for representing the City on all matters heard in, and appealed from, the North Las Vegas Municipal Court, and assisting the Chief Deputy Attorney. <br> The full job description can be found here: Deputy City Attorney I -Criminal <br> Check out some of our benefits here: CNLV Benefits Flyer <br> <b> Qualifications - External</b> <br> <b> MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</b> <br> <b>Education and Experience:</b> <ul> <li> Juris Doctorate or equivalent (undergraduate degree and LLB) from an accredited law school.</li> <li> Certificate of admission to the State Bar of Nevada at time of application.</li> </ul> <b> Licenses and Certifications:</b> <ul> <li> Must possess a valid state driver’s license with the ability to maintain satisfactory motor record and obtain an appropriate Nevada state driver’s license within required time frame.</li> </ul> <br> <b> SELECTION PROCESS:</b> <ul> <li><b> Complete Online Application</b> - Interested candidates MUST submit a completed application through the City’s application system. Evaluation of meeting requirements will be made solely on information provided on the application and any required attachments.</li> <li><b> The selection process will begin with a screening of the application/resume</b> - The best qualified candidates will be invited to participate in the assessment process.
