Stark & Stark is actively recruiting for an associate attorney in the personal injury practice group within our Marlton, New Jersey office. The ideal candidate will be self-directed and detailed-oriented with the ability to organize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities The candidate will support personal injury cases in a busy practice, with oversight from other attorneys in the practice group. Responsible for all phases of personal injury practice, from pre-litigation through post-litigation, with an emphasis on client interaction, drafting of pleadings, conducting written discovery, taking and defending depositions, handling court appearances, doing jury trials, and negotiating settlements. Evaluating the merits of personal injury claims, retaining experts, and providing guidance and counsel to clients. Qualifications and Skills A solid worth ethic. 0 - 3 years of relevant law firm experience or judicial clerkship experience. Prior personal injury experience is preferred but not required. Solid legal research and writing skills. Candidate will be expected to develop strong ties to Southern New Jersey as part of their business marketing strategy. An understanding that the position requires working in the office full-time. Superior verbal and written communication skills. The ability to multi-task while demonstrating strong integrity and professionalism. A willingness to work autonomously at times and collaboratively during other times, as an effective member of a practice group team. Bar admission in the State of New Jersey or Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is required. Ultimately, admission to both states’ bars is required.
