Position Summary Our Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation practice group has an opportunity for a mid-level Attorney to join the firm to support our national employee benefits and executive compensation practice, ranked Tier 1 by Best Lawyers for over a decade. Our practice is broad-based and encompasses plan design, advice & counsel, and compliance work relating to retirement, health and welfare, and nonqualified deferred compensation and incentive pay plans maintained by private and publicly listed employers. We also regularly advise on executive compensation and payroll tax, and healthcare privacy matters. The right candidate will possess strong analytical and writing skills, a passion for employee benefits/executive compensation matters, and will add their enthusiasm to our affable, team-oriented environment. Attorneys in this role will have the opportunity to handle complex, challenging matters and to provide advice and counsel for the full range of Ogletree’s clients. Requirements Juris Doctor. Qualified candidates must be and remain licensed to practice law and in good standing in the state of employment. During employment, must meet requirements for continuing licensure for law practice; Candidates must possess 3+ years of experience in employee benefits and/or executive compensation in a law firm; Experience with and knowledge of ERISA retirement, health and welfare plan compliance, executive, compensation, deferred compensation and incentive compensation matters is required; Ability to manage projects independently; Strong written and verbal communication skills; Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines; Strong academic credentials, superior research skills and excellent analytical, writing and communication skills required; Please note, we are not working with outside recruiters for this position.
