Patent prosecution, patent litigation, and patent counseling with a focus primarily in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology areas. Patent prosecution includes drafting U.S. and international patent applications and answering USPTO office actions. Patent litigation includes participating patent district court litigation, ITC investigation, and PTAB proceedings. Counseling work includes patent validity and/or infringement analysis, freedom-to-operate (FTO) analysis, and other due diligence investigation. Employer will accept a Juris Doctor. Employer will also require a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Biology and 1 year of work experience in job offered or 1 year of work experience in a related occupation. Must have experience with each of the following: pharmaceutical compositions, disease diagnosis, biologics, immunotherapy, and cell gene therapy as well as technology including antibodies, mRNA technology, vaccine, CAR-T therapy, stem cell, and gene editing technology. Applicants must have or be able to obtain admission to the DC bar. Applicants must be able to clear a comprehensive background and conflicts check in order to be eligible for hire.
