<p><b>JOB SUMMARY </b></p>
<p>The Habit Burger Grill is looking to hire a talented attorney for the role of Legal Counsel, Contracts. The successful candidate will have a passion for providing world-class legal support by collaboratively working across business units and with sister brands. Must be a detail-oriented individual who is self-directed and able to easily adapt to multiple and changing priorities as well as a high volume of work, often under quick deadlines. This position reports directly to the Chief Legal Officer. </p>
<p><b>ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Preparing, drafting, and negotiating a wide variety of contracts including but not limited to vendor/supplier agreements, IT agreements, NDAs, testing and development agreements, marketing agreements, master service and/or product agreements, and licensing agreements.</li>
<li>Working closely with The Habit’s various business units, including IT, Marketing, HR, Operations, etc., to understand the scope of their various projects and identify potential risks that will need to be addressed in order to support their contract needs.</li>
<li>Providing legal guidance to achieve business objectives while minimizing legal risks and liability.</li>
<li>Counseling clients on all matters related to contracts and working collaboratively with clients and department peers to develop solutions and provide a competitive advantage to the brand.</li>
<li>Using strong analytical skills throughout the contract negotiation process to protect the brand’s assets and reputation.</li>
<li>Effectively communicating to help drive alignment with clients and other business partners.</li>
<li>Other tasks as assigned by Chief Legal Officer. </li>
</ul>
<p><b>SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Juris Doctorate degree or equivalent required. </li>
<li>Licensed member in good standing of a State Bar, with a strong preference for admission to the California State Bar. </li>
<li>3+ years of relevant legal experience required. </li>
<li>Must be a team player and relationship builder, with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.</li>
<li>Must be able to work independently and as a team player.</li>
</ul>
<p>Must have strong interpersonal skills and be willing to work on, and prioritize, a broad range of legal matters simultaneously. </p>
<p><b>COMPENSATION</b></p>
<p>Salary Range: $127,300 to $150,000 annually + bonus eligibility. <b>This is the expected salary range for this position. Ultimately, in determining pay, we'll consider the successful candidate’s location, experience, and other job-related factors.</b></p>
