Who knows where our shared journey will take you?</p> <p> The Lead Counsel, Compliance Investigations and Regulatory for the Americas Hub is responsible for conducting compliance investigations and related compliance risk activities in the Americas. The position safeguards company interests through objective and thorough investigations into allegations of breaches of the Siemens Business Conduct Guidelines, other company policies, and legal requirements, while upholding principles of integrity and due process. The position is part of Siemens’ global compliance organization and requires engagement with other Siemens internal departments, Siemens business units, and external counsel. The role reports functionally to the Siemens AG Chief Counsel Compliance and in-country to the Compliance Officer for the Americas/Chief U.S. Regulatory Counsel. The position is part of the Global Investigations and Regulatory Leadership Team.</p> <p><b> We are looking for a Lead Counsel, Compliance Investigations and Regulatory. The position can be based in the east or central time zones working remote with travel around 10%.</b></p> <p><b> Essential Job Functions</b></p> <ul> <li>Evaluate allegations and identify potential violations of company policies and legal requirements.</li> <li>Plan, perform, and manage complex, sensitive, high-priority, and multi-jurisdictional investigations with the highest level of efficiency, quality, and professionalism in accordance with department procedures.</li> <li>Ensure all investigations are conducted in a timely, professional, and culturally sensitive manner.</li> <li>Draft high-quality, accurate, and complete investigation reports.</li> <li>Provide professional investigative advice and support to Global Investigations and Regulatory Department.</li> <li>Effectively manage team of highly experienced and competent professionals.</li> <li>Act as a subject-matter expert on legal topics relevant to the company.</li> <li>Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Siemens Investigations and Regulatory Department.</li> <li>Lead communications with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely, accurate, and relevant appraisal of the facts and status of investigations with absolute regard for the “need to know” principle and applicable legal privileges.</li> <li>Evaluate trends and emerging patterns to ensure qualitative input into Siemens risk assessment processes.</li> <li>Manage investigations handled by external counsel.</li> <li>Travel domestically and internationally, when required.</li> <li>Coordinate across business units and departments throughout a large group of affiliated companies to timely achieve optimal results while minimizing risk.</li> <li>Perform any other duties and special projects as may be assigned.</li> </ul> <p><b>You will win us over by having the following qualifications:</b></p> <p><b> Basic qualifications</b></p> <ul> <li>Practicing attorney licensed within the United States with 15+ years of professional investigative experience.</li> <li>Expertise in a variety of subject matter areas relevant to a global technology company, including fraud, corruption, and antitrust.</li> <li>Experience leading professional and effective teams with diverse points of view and backgrounds.</li> <li>Proven ability to independently lead and execute all facets of an investigation, from conceptual planning to execution, supervision, and report writing.</li> <li>Highly polished and effective communication, listening, and drafting skills, including those suitable for interaction with senior managers and executive leadership within a global and matrixed organization.</li> <li>Demonstrated investigatory and related interviewing skills.</li> <li>Excellent organizational and time-management skills.</li> <li>Demonstrated skill in working collaboratively with multi-jurisdictional and multi-cultural stakeholders.</li> <li>Strength in building and developing strong and effective working relationships with key partners in various countries.</li> <li>Strong attention to detail.</li> <li>Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English.</li> <li>High proficiency in Microsoft Office environment (particularly Office 365 suite).</li> <li>Unquestionable personal integrity and ethics.</li> </ul> <p><b>Preferred Qualifications</b></p> <ul> <li>Major law firm and public prosecutorial experience is preferred.</li> <li>International investigation experience preferred.</li> <li>Spanish and/or Portuguese fluency a plus.</li> </ul> <p><b>Why you’ll love working at Siemens! </b></p> <ul> <li>Medical, dental, prescription and vision coverage, first day of employment</li> <li>Matching 401(k) (immediate employer match)</li> <li>Flexible paid time off plan, paid holidays, and floating holidays</li> <li>Career development opportunities</li> <li>Education and tuition reimbursement programs available</li> <li>Paid parental leave</li> </ul> <p>You’ll benefit from:</p> <ul> <li>Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits to our employees.
