Qualifications J.D. from an accredited law school 3-5 years of demonstrated experience as a practicing attorney (preferably a mix of law firm and in-house experience). Experience in higher education is welcome, but not required, as this is an excellent opportunity to join the University of Pennsylvania OGC as a junior attorney from another industry. The ability to independently handle transactions, and other legal matters, as well as superior skills drafting and negotiating "fee for service" contracts - with particular familiarity with contractual provisions surrounding copyright ownership / licensing, brand protection, data privacy / protection (e.g., GDPR), IT security, indemnification, insurance, and international issues. Background in performing due diligence, evaluating risk, and engaging in cross-functional initiatives highly preferred - particularly in the international context.
