The Wholesale Americas General Counsel heads legal coverage for BNP Paribas CIB and Asset Management in North America. The team comprised of approximately 85 members of staff advises on a broad range of legal matters for the entities within its scope, including providing legal advice to management, business and the functions with respect to commercial and own account activities, and contributing to the Bank's influence on applicable legislative or market wide regulatory initiatives. The team provides legal and regulatory watch and maintains a legal risk management framework, including associated procedures and controls.</p> <br> <p></p> <p>Securities Services is a multi-asset servicing specialist committed to helping clients achieve their ambitions both in terms of investments and cross-border distribution. It maintains a network covering over 90 markets with local expertise in 35 countries. The Securities Services’ Legal Department is part of an international team which provides support across a wide range of products and services to institutional clients that include custody, agency lending, and fund administration/accounting<b>.</b></p> <br> <p></p> <p><i>The expected starting salary range for this position in New York/New Jersey is between $180,000 to $220,000</i><i> </i><i>annually.
