Giving back allows us to improve public spaces where people connect, promote public safety and advance access to education and technology.</p> <p><b> Role</b></p> <p> Each Associate General Counsel is responsible for providing legal advice to Crown Castle Inc. This position is responsible for leading the team that handles litigation and certain disputes. In addition, the Associate General Counsel – Litigation may serve as the Legal Department liaison to other parts of the company.</p> <p><b> Responsibilities </b></p> <ul> <li>Provide sophisticated legal counsel to internal clients.</li> <li>Critically analyze complex legal issues, evaluate risks and advise clients regarding legal and business options available to them.</li> <li>Draft, revise and/or review documents, processes, forms, pleadings, agreements, contracts, policies and other documents.</li> <li>Develop standard processes, procedures and training regarding legal matters for internal clients.</li> <li>Counsel and assist clients in developing strategy regarding business decisions, including financial decisions.</li> <li>Advocate and negotiate with external parties on behalf of internal clients.</li> <li>Provide leadership to clients regarding business processes and dispute resolution.</li> <li>Perform due diligence and other legal support for acquisitions and other transactions.</li> <li>Manage applicable personnel within the Legal Department, including other attorneys, ensuring a positive employee climate is established and maintained in tandem with meeting company goals and objectives.</li> <li>Responsibilities include recruiting, training and developing talented team members, ensuring that the team knows their individual and team objectives, tracking and measuring individual and team achievement and using the performance management process to reward excellence and address unsatisfactory performance.</li> <li>Keep informed of advances and changes in legal subject matter.</li> <li>Build strategic, flexible and sustainable teams.</li> <li>Obtain diverse experience in multiple legal fields and functional business units.</li> </ul> <p><b>Education/Certifications</b></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s Degree and Juris Doctorate from an appropriately accredited academic institution</li> <li>Attorney’s License</li> </ul> <p><b>Experience/Minimum Requirements</b></p> <ul> <li>Minimum fifteen (15)+ years of experience with increasing responsibility.</li> </ul> <p><b>Expectations</b></p> <ul> <li>In depth knowledge of all aspects of litigation and other dispute resolution procedures</li> <li>Knowledge of real estate and commercial law</li> <li>Knowledge of commercial and contracts</li> <li>Knowledge of the Company’s business requirements</li> <li>Experience in the management of legal services</li> <li>Experience in negotiation and resolution of legal and business issues</li> <li>Experience in project/process management</li> <li>Ability to manage and direct subordinates to achieve individual and company goals and to effectively report to executives and peers</li> <li>Strong written, verbal and presentation communication skills</li> <li>Accepting, supportive and desirous of effective new technologies</li> <li>Excellent organizational skills</li> <li>Detail and implementation oriented</li> <li>Ability to define, analyze and manage subject areas</li> <li>Experience in leading diverse teams</li> <li>Strong communicator, inspiring others through strategic communication</li> <li>Experience managing other attorneys and attorney work product</li> <li>Skill speaking to large groups, internally and externally</li> </ul> <p><b>Organizational Relationship</b></p> <p><b> Reports to:</b> SVP, Legal</p> <p><b> Title(s) of direct reports (if applicable):</b> Managing Counsel, Senior Attorney, Attorney, Associate Attorney, Senior Paralegal, Paralegal, Legal Assistant</p> <p><b> Working Conditions:</b> This role falls into our hybrid work model working in your assigned office approximately 60% of the time (3 days per week) and where you do your best work 40% (2 days per week).
