Department purpose A&O Shearman is seeking a senior associate (5-7 years of experience) with interest in securities litigation and complex civil litigation for our San Francisco office. Our core areas of practice include securities litigation and enforcement, white collar defense and investigations, global compliance and anticorruption, M&A/ shareholder litigation, and other complex commercial disputes. Role purpose A&O Shearman seeks an accomplished associate to join our San Francisco office with 5-7 years of experience focused on all aspects of securities and shareholder litigation. The salary range for this position is $225,000 to $435,000 depending on the candidate’s JD year. We offer competitive compensation and benefits package which includes a discretionary bonus, paid leave, life, health, accident, and disability insurance; and a 401(k) plan. Team This individual will report directly to the San Francisco and New York Litigation partners. The Team also works closely with other partners, associates and staff both in the U.S. and abroad. Role and Responsibilities The ideal candidate will have litigation experience from a major law firm as well as excellent academic credentials. Minimum Requirements A Juris Doctor (JD) degree (LLM or foreign equivalent) from an accredited law school. Must be admitted, and in good standing, to the bar in the jurisdiction in which you will practice; or must provide written confirmation as to ability to become admitted in that State or District. Preferred Requirements Analytical, research, and writing skills. Ability to work well under pressure and manage your time effectively. Class years 2019-2017.
