The ideal candidate must have the ability to draft Intellectual Property heavy agreements, patent applications and have a strong understanding of the technology behind these transactions; provide counsel to the business regarding patent matters; patent application and prosecution experience and have the ability to manage mergers and acquisition intellectual property due diligence. A background in mechanical, chemical or electrical engineering and admission before the USPTO is required as well as excellent writing skills; experience in the energy industry is preferred.
