Role We have an opportunity for a mid-level banking associate to join our English law banking team based in Istanbul. This team advises on a wide on a wide variety of financing transactions, including general lending, project finance, acquisition finance and debt restructuring, across Turkey, the Middle East and CIS. The role involves working closely with the Istanbul-based partners as well as an opportunity to work with other partners across the A&O network. Key requirements English or common law qualified banking lawyer with experience working on cross border financing transactions The role is for a mid-level associate although more senior/junior candidates with an interest in Turkey are also encouraged to apply Outstanding academic credentials Resilient self-starter with intellectual curiosity and versatility Entrepreneurial drive Excellent client relationship skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface at all levels and particularly to win the respect of the partner and fee-earner community, building strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
