About the role We are currently seeking projects, front end construction, and infrastructure lawyers with a minimum of eight years’ post-qualification experience, some of which in a law firm akin to A&O, for opportunities with our clients, both in Australia and in the Middle East. If you are a highly skilled and self-driven lawyer with technical experience in the below areas, then we are keen to hear from you: Working with Governments as well as developers, contractors and/or investors on large scale public and private projects and infrastructure Project structuring, delivery and finance, project documentation and contracts, project due diligence, and project M&A Project experience across transport, water, waste, energy, oil and gas, and PPPs, with any renewable energy experience highly regarded Providing general commercial and regulatory advice to construction, transport, energy and/or resources clients Drafting, negotiating and advising on commercial contracts including for the construction and/or maintenance of facilities and buildings, the provision of services or supplies, the operation and/or maintenance of various infrastructure assetsRoles in the Middle East Roles for clients in the Middle East will require relocation or routine travel to the United Arab Emirates or Saudi Arabia and involve a flexible working pattern to accommodate the time zone if and when working from Australia. Successful applicants will: Have the right to work and reside in Australia Be qualified to practice in Australia and have an unrestricted (unsupervised) practicing certificate or the ability to obtain the same Have a minimum of 8 years’ post-qualification experience, a proportion of which has been spent within a law firm akin to A&O Have a willingness to engage with Peerpoint as a casual employee or via an Independent Legal Practice Have strong technical knowledge and ideally recent Australian experience (although the latter is not strictly necessary) Be a self-starter with a commitment to building a career as a consultant and a drive to achieve at a high level whilst working as a consultant Be adept at leading or working within complex multi-functional, multi-national project environments, or open to working in the same Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface at all levels, building strong relationships internally and externally Be client service-focused, with exemplary client service ethic and commitment Have strong commercial/business acumen Be resilient, adaptable, autonomous and highly credible Have advanced organisational skills and diplomacy What makes consulting with Peerpoint different?
