Varnum LLP seeks to hire an attorney to join the Environmental and Natural Resources Practice Team. This position is open to any of our Michigan offices. The successful candidate will have knowledge of rules and regulations governing energy production and transmission/transportation as well as experience with matters at the Michigan Public Service Commission, including utility rate making cases and dispute resolution. Experience with Power Purchase Agreements and other energy contracts involving renewable energy would be nice to have but not required. Successful candidates will possess excellent academic credentials; the ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining a high level of responsiveness and quality; exceptional attention to detail; and outstanding customer/client service skills. Admission to the Michigan bar is required.
