The Los Angeles office is seeking a lawyer with a minimum of 4 to 5 years of experience in labor and employment law to join the Employment and Labor practice team. This is a non-partnership track position. Candidates should possess California employment litigation and advice and counseling experience. Duties include, but are not limited to, performing legal research; drafting motions, pleadings, and dispositive motions; attending court appearances; drafting and responding to discovery and meet and confer letters; defending individual and class action wage and hour and PAGA claims both in court and in arbitration; responding to government investigation and inquiries. Applicants will also draft and review employment and severance agreements, employment policies, and Employee Handbooks. Excellent academic credentials and strong analytical, verbal, writing, and case management skills required. Must be admitted to and a member in good standing of the California Bar. Employees are entitled to compensation commensurate with skill and experience. The full time base annual salary for this position in the Los Angeles market is expected to range between $225,000- $295,000. This range represents the firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting for a position in Los Angeles. Salaries in other markets will vary depending on market data. Bonus opportunities are non-guaranteed and are dependent upon individual and firm performance.
