Bilzin Sumberg is seeking an experienced Commercial Real Estate Paralegal with a minimum of 10 years of experience to join our team. Responsibilities include: • Handling commercial and residential real estate transactions from inception through closing. • Reviewing title commitments, surveys, and related documents; preparing title and survey objection letters. • Preparing conveyance documents, escrow instructions, and closing checklists. • Coordinating and managing due diligence throughout the transaction process. • Drafting and reviewing closing statements, coordinating and attending closings, and ensuring the execution and delivery of closing documents. • Managing post-closing matters, including review of title policies and preparation of closing binders. • Communicating effectively with clients, title companies, lenders, and other transaction parties. • Drafting and preparation of opinions of title • Drafting and filing of Articles of Incorporation and Articles of Organization • Filing for EINs for newly created entities • Research related to property assessments and pending liens • Preparation of UCC financing statements • Willingness to be trained and utilize AI tools designed to assist with real estate transactions • Time management skills to manage multiple assignments from many attorneys Qualifications: • Minimum of 10 years’ commercial real estate paralegal experience required. • Strong knowledge of title and survey review. • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Adobe required. • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. • Major law firm experience strongly preferred.
