Barnes & Thornburg is seeking an SCC Counsel to support one of BT’s key engagements. The ideal candidate should have at least 10 years of experience in trade compliance and export controls. The candidate should also have experience conducting comprehensive assessments of international trade transactions to identify potential compliance risks, and ensure adherence to relevant trade laws, regulations and agreements; analyzing export/re-export and related documentation, export classification of goods, licensing requirements, and compliance procedures to ensure compliance with the Export Administration Regulations and related sanctions regulations; participating in interviews of personnel involved with export/re-export functions; assisting with annual export/sanctions compliance audit; and staying current with changes in international trade laws and regulations to provide accurate and up-to-date advice to the engagement team.
