Brookfield is committed to the development of our people through challenging work assignments and exposure to diverse businesses. </div> <div> <br> Job Description </div> <div></div> <div> Responsibilities: </div> <ul> <li> <div> Oversee fund legal operations post-investor closings, including: </div> <ul> <li> <div> Leading investment structuring with finance operations and tax teams and overseeing corporate governance matters for all fund entities </div></li> <li> <div> Negotiating credit facilities and ISDAs </div></li> <li> <div> Reviewing investment committee memorandums, investor reports and investor communications </div></li> <li> <div> Preparing and reviewing conflicts committee and LPAC materials </div></li> <li> <div> Taking a lead role in co-investments, including investor negotiations </div></li> <li> <div> Ensuring operations are in compliance with fund agreements and regulations, including by providing legal advice with respect to fund operations </div></li> </ul></li> <li> <div> Draft and negotiate ancillary fund operational legal documents, including confidentiality agreements and service provider contracts </div></li> <li> <div> Assist in regulatory compliance aspects of funds </div></li> <li> <div> Coordinate with BAM private funds group team in fundraising and launch of new products </div></li> <li> <div> Oversee outside counsel and service providers </div></li> </ul> <div></div> <div> Qualifications: </div> <ul> <li> <div> J.D. with at least 4 years of experience as a lawyer in a major law firm or in-house </div></li> <li> <div> Private fund experience and knowledge of the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 and federal securities laws required </div></li> <li> <div> Exceptional attention to detail </div></li> <li> <div> Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal skills </div></li> <li> <div> Strong organizational and time management skills </div></li> </ul> <div> <br> Salary Range: $280,000 – 330,000 </div> <div></div> <div> Our compensation structure is comprised of a base salary and a short-term incentive program (cash bonus). Cash compensation tends to vary based on geography to account for local market conditions and is set to be market competitive.
