<div id="jobDescriptionText" class="jobsearch-jobDescriptionText jobsearch-JobComponent-description css-1x2lix0 eu4oa1w0"><div> <div> <div> <div> <div> <div> <div> <div> <div> <div> <div> <div> <div> <div> <div> <p><b>Job Description:</b></p> </div> </div> </div> </div> </div> </div> </div> </div> </div> </div> </div> </div> </div> </div> <p></p> <h1 class="jobSectionHeader"><b> What are we looking for?</b></h1> <ul> <li> J.D. from an accredited law school with 12+ years of US labor and employment law experience required, ideally with experience in both a well-respected law firm and in the legal department of a multinational company. </li> <li>Broad-based legal experience supporting a consumer business on employment matters, including day to day HR issues and litigation strategy</li> <li> Experience providing counsel to senior business leaders is a plus.</li> <li> Strong business acumen.</li> <li> Can act decisively.</li> <li> Capable of analyzing complex legal and policy issues from a commercial perspective.</li> <li> Good relationship and influencing skills.</li> <li> Strong analytical skills.</li> <li> Must be a self-starter, highly motivated with a bias for action (strong work ethic) and able to function independently.</li> <li> Good Interpersonal skills</li> <li> Strong, flexible team player and collaborator that works to meet both personal and organization goals.</li> <li> Excellent written and oral communication skills.</li> <li> Excellent organization, execution, and project management skills.</li> <li> Ability to travel.</li> </ul> <p></p> <h1 class="jobSectionHeader"><b> What will be your key responsibilities?</b></h1> <ul> <li><p> Provide advice and support to P&amp;O and business leaders across Mars on a range of employment law issues for the US and Canada, including, but not limited to, recruiting, hiring, Associate performance management, reorganizations, leaves of absence, accommodations, wage and hour, contingent workforce issues, anti-discrimination law compliance, P&amp;O investigations and other employment related matters. </p></li> <li><p>In collaboration with outside counsel, manage the defense and resolution of employment related lawsuits filed against Mars.</p></li> <li><p> Manage charges and requests from the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and other federal and state agencies with respect to employment charges and claims. </p></li> <li><p>Draft and negotiate employment related documents including contracts, non-competition agreements, employee manuals, and severance agreements.</p></li> <li><p> Provide advice and counsel to Mars Global Mobility team on all immigration related matters.</p></li> <li><p> Monitor key employment and immigration law legislative proposals and communicate developments and implications to the business and P&amp;O as appropriate.
