Kennedys is looking for an Associate and Senior Associate to join the Property, Energy and Construction team in London, in order to assist with a caseload of primarily coverage disputes, in particular within Energy. We are particularly interested in speaking to candidates with Energy experience, and Marine/offshore experience would also be ideal. Please note this role offers hybrid working. Team The Kennedys PEC team specialises in property, energy and construction insurance claims, assisting insurers and reinsurers of major multi-national companies in relation to their global exposures. We provide coverage advice and defend high-value, international and complex claims. We have one of the most experienced teams of coverage and subrogation lawyers working in the energy insurance and reinsurance market. Throughout our integrated global network of offices we have extensive experience of advising the insurers and reinsurers of the world’s major energy sector multinationals. Our energy team is comprised of recognised market-leading individuals. We are experienced in handling the market’s largest and most complex claims in all energy sectors. We are currently advising in connection with several losses valued in excess of US$1 billion. Examples of the work the team are involved in include onshore and offshore, renewables (including wind and solar), refining and power generation, representing construction and operational insurers on international claims. Clients Insurers and reinsurers. Cases Providing coverage advice Advising on and defending high value, international and complex claims. Required experience 3-10 years’ Qualified Solicitor with insurance litigation experience* Experience of London market coverage work in Energy, ideally with some marine/offshore experience. To be proactive and take initiative Strong communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to manage own time, excellent organisation skills Strong technical and research skills Exceptional attention to detail.
