Seyfarth Shaw LLP is seeking multiple part-time, hourly attorneys to join our exciting Innovative Staffing Team (IST) in the Labor & Employment Department. These positions are designed to be flexible, including working from home with access to our local office (New York) as needed. Candidates should have 3+ years of increasingly responsible employment law experience and be excited to work in a collaborative team, delivering high quality work. The IST is a dedicated group of lawyers within Seyfarth who want the flexibility of an hourly position but seek the advantage and excitement of working with the best employment team in the country. The IST is now made up of approximately 40 IST lawyers throughout the United States and we are attracting former in-house lawyers, law firm partners, and associates who want the experience of working on sophisticated matters without the demands of a full time, partner track position. We are expanding this team and invite you to learn more about this unique opportunity. Candidates should have familiarity with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Department of Labor, and other federal, state and local government administrative agencies. Candidates should have the ability to handle DOL Audits and EEOC charges, including defending investigations, preparing position statements, defending clients in fact-finding conferences and on-site visits, representing clients in mediations and conciliations, and negotiating settlements.
