This position will report to the Hill’s Legal Director, Americas and will be a key contributor in leading meetings with internal clients, developing and presenting recommendations including comprehensive analysis and highlighting of issues, creating action plans, formulating arguments and managing legal knowledge management systems. What You Will Do: <ul> <li> Partner with CP attorneys and/or outside counsel for review and advice on Digital and Ecommerce Projects, including regulatory, contractual and commercial aspects</li> <li> Partner with digital business teams on the development of critical commercial strategies, managing legal risk and ensuring regulatory compliance</li> <li> Provide advice on all aspects of compliance and data privacy to the business under the guidance of the Chief Compliance Counsel</li> <li> Provide advice to all areas of the business on marketing-related and corporate communications issues and assist with mitigation strategies, under the guidance of the Marketing Counsel</li> <li> Provide advice to clients and progress contract matters from initial meeting through advice, contract drafting, negotiation and final conclusion, including commercial contracts, licensing agreements, SaaS agreements and related marketing communications</li> <li> Provide advice, guidance and counsel to the internal business clients regarding the appropriate legal framework and contractual embodiment of that framework for relationships between Hill's and its third party suppliers</li> <li> Counsel teams on technical and regulatory issues</li> <li> Perform legal research necessary for Hill’s to respond to discovery requests</li> <li> Perform legal research and preparing summaries and advice based on research</li> </ul> Required Qualifications: <ul> <li> Bachelor’s degree</li> <li> JD or equivalent legal qualification in a foreign jurisdiction</li> <li> Admission to US bar</li> <li> 3+ years or more experience in a corporate law department or law firm</li> <li> Proficiency in Word, Excel, Google Drive</li> <li> Experienced in performing legal research and proficiency with legal database tools (Pacer, Westlaw, Bloomberg)</li> <li> Proven ability to organize, manage and interpret a high volume of legal information</li> <li> Strong drafting skills</li> </ul> Preferred Qualifications: <ul> <li> 3+ years previous work experience in a legal capacity in a corporate law department working with senior counsel and senior business leaders</li> <li> Undergraduate degree in business or MBA</li> </ul> #LI-Hybrid Salary Range $100,000 - $140,000 USD Pay is based on several non discriminatory factors including but not limited to experience, education, skills and office location.
