Bring your passion, potential and talents to a career that matters. <br> <br> Department Overview Legal Support U.S. Federal Markets <br>Job Description <br>This position can be remote anywhere in the USA but proximityability to work in Linthicum Heights, Maryland is a plus. <br> <br> The Commercial Counsel position serves as legal support to the US Federal Markets business unit of Motorola Solutions, Inc. MSI. <br> <br> This attorney will work closely with MSIs Federal Market leaders, sales, contracting and business team professionals to provide advice and counsel on a wide range of compliance and contractual related issues, including internal policy adherence, contract compliance, contract performance, negotiation of terms and conditions, teaming agreements and primesub agreements. The position will report directly to MSIs Senior Counsel lead for US Federal Markets. <br> <br> Scope of ResponsibilitiesExpectations <br> <br> Legal support including, but not limited to <br> <br> Compliance with relevant laws and policies including FARDFAR, NDAA requirements, small business regulations, andinformation security related requirements; <br> <br> Drafting, reviewing andor negotiating a variety of government and commercial contract documents, including standard template documents, federal terms and conditions, US Federal flow down clauses, teaming agreements, reseller agreements, and subcontract documents; <br> <br> Advising with regard to general legal inquiries from the business that may relate to contract disputes, regulatory issues and new business initiatives; <br> <br> Supporting the sales teams efforts to expand and grow the business in accordance with all legal, regulatory and contractual requirements; <br> <br> Periodic SME support to state and local contractinglegal teams relating to US Federal contractinggrant requirements; <br> <br> Monitoring for new developments and requirements. <br> <br> Specific KnowledgeSkills Desired <br> <br> Indepth knowledge of the FAR, DFAR, and those requirements unique to contracting with the US Government, including the FAR Part 12 commercial item contracting process; <br> <br> Prior experience developing, administering, evaluating andor improving contractual and compliance related controls for salesfocused organizations; <br> <br> Prior experience with Federal contractorOEM reseller programs; <br> <br> Contract drafting experience, including commercial item terms and conditions; <br> <br> Excellent oral and written communication skills; <br> <br> Adaptable can do attitude, ability to work independently and make decisions in fast paced environment; <br> <br> Required to work with the highest level of ethics and discretion. <br> <br> Preferred Skills <br> <br> Minimum of 4 years of experience working with US Federal Government contracts with evidence of increased levels of responsibility, complexity of matters, andor development of expertise; <br> <br> Understanding of commercial item, FAR Part 12 contracting process; federal reseller programs, IDIQ contract vehicles including GSA and Federal small business issues; <br> <br> Federal and commercial contractsubcontract negotiation experience. <br> <br> LIRH1 LIREMOTE <br> <br> Basic Requirements <br> <br> Juris Doctor Degree and 443; years of experience <br> <br> Admission to a US bar in good standing <br> <br> Must be a US citizen capable of obtaining a US Federal Government security clearance <br> <br> Vaccine Requirement <br> <br> Motorola Solutions has implemented a voluntary COVID19 vaccination policy.
