Type of Experience: King & Spalding seeks a junior to mid-level associate for its growing Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation practice group in New York or Atlanta. Candidates should have one to three years’ experience advising on employee benefits and executive compensation matters, including benefits and compensation issues arising in corporate transactions, drafting and negotiating employment, retention and severance agreements, designing equity-based and other incentive compensation plans and agreements, and the compliance of retirement, health and welfare, and fringe benefit plans and arrangements with ERISA and the Internal Revenue Code. Familiarity with ERISA fiduciary and pension investment issues (including plan asset issues) is a plus. All candidates should have comparable law firm experience, solid academic credentials, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
