Goldberg Segalla, a dynamic and collaborative law firm with a national presence, seeks a highly motivated and organized individual to join its team as a Workers’ Compensation Paralegal supporting litigators that have a high volume of work at our Orange County Office. The paralegal will assist and provide a wide range of legal support to the supervising attorney(s); therefore, they will enhance the attorney’s effectiveness. These duties will include, but it is not limited to: maintaining files, conducting legal research, drafting documents, communicating with clients and other parties involve in the cases etc. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 3+ years experience in Workers Compensation practice Knowledge of billing and adherence to client guidelines Ability to handle pressure, interruptions and multiple projects with frequently changing priorities and deadlines Must have the ability to work as part of a team, as well as to work independently, with minimal supervision Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint E-filing knowledge in preparation to file all types of discovery requests, responses to opposing counsel, and motions Ability to multitask and prioritize workload. Knowledge of legal documents and terminology Organize and maintain documents in the physical file and in the firm’s document Management software Ability to analyze legal documents and ensure accuracy. EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree, Associates’ degree, or certificate degree in paralegal studies. 2 - 4 years of experience as a paralegal. Workers Compensation Defense experience preferred, but not required. Benefits: This role offers a hourly salary and bonus opportunity. The hourly salary range for this position is $28.25 to $41.00. Actual pay may be adjusted based on experience and other job related factors permitted by law. This position also offers a full benefits package.
