Location: Springfield, MA Description: Bulkley Richardson is seeking an Intellectual Property (IP) Attorney registered to practice in patent cases before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) with at least 5 years of experience in patent and other aspects of IP law. Relevant experience may include: Prosecution of trademark and patent registration and protection; Management of trademark and patent portfolios, and familiarity with portfolio management systems/software; Negotiating and drafting IP licenses, assignments and other IP-related agreements; Conducting IP audits; Providing IP support for complex business agreements, including performing IP due diligence; Handling IP infringement issues, including drafting and responding to cease-and-desist letters; Assisting with litigation of IP related matters; Working within the USPTO; Advising clients regarding the protection, management, and monetization of IP. Qualifications: Juris doctorate from an accredited law school; Admission to the Mass. Bar and the U.S. Patent Bar; 5+ years of experience with patent and other IP related matters; Ability to collaborate effectively and positively with others; Excellent communication skills; Commercial acumen.
