Requires a Juris Doctor or LL.M. degree, or foreign equivalent. Requires admission to the Illinois state bar. Requires at least four (4) years of experience as an associate attorney working within the Litigation practice group of a global law firm. Must include experience with the following: Supporting clients in complex commercial litigations including antitrust litigation and investigations, employment litigation, and toxic torts, employment discrimination cases, contract disputes, confidential arbitrations and mediations, and bankruptcy litigation; Advising clients in various government investigations and judicial proceedings, including class actions; Performing legal research and preparing legal memoranda to support litigation case strategies; Drafting discovery requests and responses; Drafting briefs including on dispositive motions, pleadings including complaints and answers, and other written submissions to the court; Preparing for and taking offensive and defensive witness depositions and working with experts in the preparation of expert reports for commercial litigation and preparing for offensive and defensive expert depositions; Drafting settlement agreements and mediation briefs; and Preparing for and participating in hearings, oral arguments and other court appearances; and Preparing for witness depositions, examinations and cross-examinations.
