Job Description: Whiteford is seeking 2L summer associates for its 2025 Summer Associate Program in its Washington, DC office. Applications must include a cover letter, resume, and law school transcript (or self-prepared grade sheet). Candidates should have a strong academic performance and demonstrated ties to the specified region. Law review, journal, moot court, or other similar experience is a plus. Job Requirements: Whiteford’s Summer Associate Program provides law students an opportunity to hone their legal skills by working on a wide variety of projects with attorneys and firm clients. Attorney mentors meet with summer associates on a weekly basis to review and discuss work assignments and offer support, guidance, and constructive criticism regarding the summer associates’ performance. Participants also have an opportunity to attend hearings, trials, depositions, closings, business negotiations and settlement conferences. At the end of the summer, associates have a formal performance review meeting with the mentor and the Chair of the Summer Program. The firm also hosts a number of social events and outings for the summer associates so that they can get to know the firm’s attorneys outside of the office.
