A Snapshot of Your Day As a Legal Counsel in the Project Entity group, you will support the execution of contracts pertaining to the sale and service of Siemens Energy’s portfolio. The selected individual will perform a full range of contractual services during the execution phase of the contract management life cycle. The successful candidate will work independently and as a member of a regionally based multidisciplinary team concurrently engaged in multiple projects. How You’ll Make an Impact <ul> <li> Write, review, analyze, modify, and negotiate contractual documents, change orders, and amendments for existing projects in execution.</li> <li> Handle claims and support potential settlements.</li> <li> Prepare contractual and legal risk analysis and summaries for review and approval by management.</li> <li> Summarize risks for review and approval by management.</li> <li> Providing advice/recommendation and interpretation of contract requirements, obligations, and risk exposure to the applicable business partners.</li> <li> Support commercial contracts during the execution of national and international large-scale projects.</li> </ul> What You Bring <ul> <li> Juris Doctorate is required.</li> <li> Must be currently admitted, in good standing, and actively licensed to practice law in one or more states in the United States.</li> <li> Minimum of 5+ years of legal experience in a law firm or corporate in-house position; drafting and negotiating contracts or equivalent litigation of same, preferably in an energy environment.</li> <li> Demonstrated success of handling complex contracts and able to handle multiple projects at the same time.</li> <li> Demonstrated claim management.</li> <li> Self-driven individual with the ability to formulate logical and pragmatic approaches and make effective recommendations to address complex issues.</li> <li> Strong negotiations skills with the ability to support a matrixed negotiating team.</li> <li> Flexibility to adjust to changing requirements, schedules, and priorities.</li> <li> Excellent verbal communication and writing skills with demonstrated ability to develop and communicate clearly and concisely with all levels of stakeholders.</li> <li> Experience with commercial contracts desired.</li> <li> Ability to travel domestically and internationally.</li> <li> Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
