CMDA is seeking a highly-motivated civil litigation associate with at least five years of active civil litigation experience to assist with a fast-paced trial docket and to help grow its Clinton Township, Michigan office. CMDA practices in the areas of insurance defense litigation, municipal law, employment and labor law, and general litigation. Qualified candidates must be licensed in Michigan and have experience with: Taking and defending depositions (parties, experts, etc.) Preparing complex pleadings and motions, including petitions, answers, motions for summary judgment, discovery-related motions, etc. Drafting and arguing motions before a trial court Qualified candidates must have excellent research and writing skills and strong communication and organization skills. Candidates should have high energy, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to take on new projects and learn new skills quickly.
