Responsibilities and practice Dentons US LLP, the world’s largest law firm, is seeking a Patent Agent with a bachelor’s degree (and preferably an advanced degree) in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Informatics, or a closely related field, to join our dynamic Intellectual Property & Technology (IP&T) practice. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience of independently preparing and prosecuting patent applications in the computing and/or electrical arts. The person hired for this position will work side-by-side with talented partners, counsels, associates, and patent agents to help clients protect some of their most important inventions on the forefront of technology, and can expect to assume responsibilities such as: Invention harvesting Meeting with clients to discuss invention disclosures, patent strategy and ongoing prosecution matters Evaluating technology Preparing and prosecuting US and foreign patent applications Assisting with opinion writing Client counseling Litigation support Providing technical support for the practice This is a great opportunity to work with a group of dedicated professionals who are passionate about their work, and to enjoy the benefits of a growing international law firm.
