This is an opportunity to join an innovative and collaborative team focused on supporting the firm’s new business intake function. The Conflicts & Ethics Attorney will work closely with the Associate Director of New Business Intake and a team of Conflicts & Ethics Attorneys. This position offers remote work as an option, subject to location approval by the firm. Candidates will have the following skills and responsibilities: Reviews the firm’s new business intake forms and related documents, including conflict reports to identity and resolve business and ethical conflicts. Drafts and reviews waiver letters, engagement letters, and communicates with lawyers and staff on any changes or additional information that may be necessary before the firm accepts the new business. Reviews conflict reports, researches corporate affiliations, and advise firm lawyers on conflict issues or relationship issues and relevant firm policies. Other duties may be assigned by the Associate Director of New Business Intake or Director of Conflicts & New Business Intake. Candidates must have excellent oral and written communication skills, exceptional critical thinking and problem solving skills and a working knowledge of the rules of professional conduct. Successful candidates demonstrate sound judgment, intellectual curiosity and are able to work well under pressure. Candidates must also have the ability to adapt to changing priorities, meet deadlines and manage a heavy workload. Previous conflicts experience is preferred but not required. A Juris Doctorate (J.D.) is required. Candidates must be actively licensed and in good standing with a state bar. The salary offer will be contingent upon various factors, including but not limited to, relevant experience, internal equity, market data, job location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
