Financial Institutions / Fintech Regulatory Mid-Level Associate Freshfields’ US Financial Institutions / Fintech Regulatory team is seeking associates with relevant experience to join our team in New York or Washington, DC. We are looking for creative, motivated, entrepreneurial team players to be instrumental in helping to grow our top-quality US practice, which sits within a market-leading global team of financial regulatory lawyers. Ideal candidates will have between three and six years of experience at a large law firm, federal or state financial regulator (Federal Reserve, OCC, FDIC, NYDFS, or similar agency), or as in-house counsel at a financial institution. Candidates must have experience with, and knowledge of, federal banking laws and regulations, and preferably would demonstrate a record of counseling top-tier financial institutions on matters such as: prudential bank regulation; control and permissibility issues; the Volcker Rule; Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering regulations; change in control and other regulatory filings; compliance policies and procedures; regulatory capital and liquidity requirements; regulatory examinations and enforcement defense; and the development of new financial products and services. Our rapidly growing practice offers significant room for advancement for motivated associates with strong technical and commercial abilities who enjoy mentoring junior associates and being involved in business development. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $260,000 - $390,000.
