Description
The firm is currently seeking a highly qualified patent attorney or agent to join the intellectual property practice in our Silicon Valley office. Candidate must have at least 3 to 5 years of relevant patent experience in computer architectures, software including programming languages, telecommunications, Internet and Web-based software, computer peripherals, networking technology including Internet and electronic commerce systems, operating systems (e.g.; OSX, UNIX), encryption, and distributed computing. Additional knowledge of consumer electronics (tablet computer, media players) is also helpful. An undergraduate and/or graduate degree in electrical engineering and/or computer science is preferred. Candidate must be admitted to the USPTO and, for the patent attorney position, must also be admitted to the California State Bar Association. Attorneys admitted in states other than California may be considered for a patent agent position. Salaries are based on years of experience, and bonus consideration is based on productivity and performance. A distinguished academic record and exceptional research, writing, organizational and verbal communication skills are essential.
