Our newest Senior Counsel team member will be responsible for advancing and overseeing the Company’s structured finance transactions with various lenders and their respective legal teams. To be successful in this role, this person should have experience in a broad array of financing transactions, including secured and unsecured syndicated and bilateral credit facilities and other financing vehicles. The right candidate will serve in significant interaction and communication with internal developers and construction teams, investment banks, issuers, servicers, administrators, senior leadership and investors. </div> </div> </div> </div> <p>Primary Responsibilities </p> <div> <div> <div> <ul> <li>Drafting transaction documents, reviewing parties’ organizational documents and resolutions, managing the timing and delivery of documents, closing structured finance transactions and funding projects.</li> <li>Lead a broad array of financing transactions, including secured and unsecured syndicated and bilateral credit facilities, asset securitizations, senior debt, asset-based lending, cash flow, sponsor finance, unitranche, and mezzanine transactions.</li> <li>Working with the structured finance team to fund projects on a bi-weekly basis.</li> <li>Collaborating with the other in-house and external counsels to get projects ready for funding.</li> <li>Leading checklist calls and triaging responsibility with various teams.</li> </ul> <div> <br> <br> </div> </div> </div> </div> <p>Competencies </p> <div> <div> <div> <div> <b>Required</b> </div> <ul> <li>Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from a nationally/internationally recognized law school and an active license to practice law in America or abroad.</li> <li>10 years+ of experience working on similar transactions.</li> <li>Experience overseeing/implementing finance programs.</li> <li>Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; strong presentation skills, with the ability to communicate abstract ideas and legal advice to executive and senior management as well as non-legal colleagues.</li> <li>Excellent critical thinking skills and the ability to work through complex issues, including those with significant strategic risk to the company.</li> <li>Strategic, analytical thinker and creative problem solver who possesses innovation, client management, demand management skills and finance knowledge.</li> <li>Significant deal experience is required, with weight given to experience with debt finance transactions and loan draws.</li> <li>A broad understanding of the business environment and capable of anticipating future challenges resulting from change and the ability to adapt quickly and keep up with a fast‐paced and highly demanding environment and regulatory framework.</li> </ul> </div> </div> </div> <p>Compensation &amp; Benefits </p> <div> <div> <div> <div> The base salary range for this position is $180,000-$240,000 depending on relevant experience, along with eligibility for the company’s substantial bonus plan, with a target bonus of 50% of annual salary (prorated in first year based on start date).
