You must have a proven record of building highly successful business relationships. You must bring a high level of enthusiasm to the support of the sales, customer success, channel and product teams, including the dedication to provide timely, accurate, and well-reasoned responses to queries from the business and successfully negotiate complex agreements with Equinix customers. You must be able work with other in-house counsel, outside counsel, privacy counsel, product team, and security team members on commercial matters. It would be beneficial if you also possess knowledge on data security, data protection and privacy, to provide responses to customer demands and requests on such matters. No relocation monies.</p> <p></p> <p></p> <p><b>Responsibilities:</b></p> <ul> <li>Draft, negotiate, and successfully close high volume and various complexity commercial agreements, including technology and real estate licenses, digital services agreements, marketing agreements, sales and partnership agreements</li> <li>Provide legal advice to team leaders and members with a thorough understanding of a Colocation and SaaS business, and the legal and regulatory environment that surrounds it</li> <li>Draft, review, and support the commercial transactions team in negotiating data protection and other related terms, and work alongside Equinix Privacy Office to educate and explain the company’s practice and compliance status to internal and external audiences</li> <li>Work with our sales, product managers and emerging services team to ensure a deep understanding of products, features, and new areas and uses of data and services to provide legal explanations and ensure compliance with applicable laws and industry practice</li> </ul> <p></p> <p><b>Qualifications:</b></p> <ul> <li>J.D. degree from an accredited law school</li> <li>Membership in good standing of any US State Bar</li> <li>3-5 years of experience of proven commercial drafting and negotiation of complex commercial agreements, especially for other data center, real estate or technology related businesses</li> <li>Technical background in software products and development, SaaS, or cloud-based services industry and IoT, a plus</li> <li>A consistent record of working independently with little direction in a fast-paced environment</li> <li>Taking initiative in client engagement to add value to client interactions</li> <li>Manage critical projects on an ongoing basis, while working both independently and as part of a close-knit team</li> <li>Possess great empathy, sensitivity, common sense, and creativity while working individually or with a team to solve potential business and legal issues</li> <li>Proactive, self-driven, motivated to learn, and goal-oriented</li> <li>Outstanding interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills</li> <li>Must possess a sense of humor</li> <li>Comply with the Professional Rules of Conduct, and hold the highest standards of ethics and professional integrity</li> <li>Experience in working on privacy and data protection matters, including knowledge of global privacy laws such as the GDPR and the states’ individual privacy laws and policies, is preferred but not a requirement</li> </ul> </div> <p></p> <div> <p>Equinix is committed to ensuring that our employment process is open to all individuals, including those with a disability.
