Join Western Union as a Director, Counsel, Regulatory!</p> <p></p> <p><b> Western Union powers your pursuit</b></p> <p> Western Union is seeking a high caliber, talented and energetic attorney, with experience in financial services regulation to join our Regulatory Legal team. This attorney will work closely and partner with leaders in the compliance and legal organizations and provide legal guidance related to regulatory examinations, regulatory requirements governing Western Union’s products and operations.</p> <p></p> <p><b> Role Responsibilities </b></p> <ul> <li>Provide world-class legal oversight and direction for Western Union during interactions with regulators around the globe. </li> <li>Advocate on the company’s behalf during regulatory examinations and advise on any remediation projects. </li> <li>Advise the compliance program on regulatory requirements and expectations related to the operation of its programs, including anti-money laundering, sanctions, consumer protection, anti-corruption and bribery and fraud. </li> <li>Provide the product legal team with expert advice about how regulations govern our existing and new products, including money transfer delivered across retail and digital channels, digital wallets offering stored value and virtual currency, prepaid products, and check cashing. Familiarity with ATMs, kiosks, and NACHA rules is a plus. </li> <li>Provide actionable legal advice to help the company remain compliant with regulations while helping to drive optimal outcomes for our customers and the business. </li> <li>Provide strategic legal advice to internal stakeholders and coordinate with outside counsel. </li> <li>Research, analyze and monitor new and existing laws and work with outside counsel on discrete matters as needed.</li> </ul> <p></p> <p><b> Role Requirements </b></p> <ul> <li>JD required</li> <li> 5+ years’ experience</li> </ul> <p></p> <p><b> We make financial services accessible to humans everywhere.</b> <b>Join us for what’s next.</b></p> <p> Western Union is positioned to become the world’s most accessible financial services company —transforming lives and communities.
