The team interfaces externally with regulators and service providers to safeguard Crypto.com from legal liabilities. Focus areas include Regulatory/ Product.The Regulatory/Product team provides proactive and solution-oriented legal and regulatory advice and guidance to multiple stakeholders to enable the development and launch of Crypto.com products and services in a way that meets our obligations as well as the needs of our customers. Work cross-functionally to identify, analyze, and mitigate legal and regulatory risks (while maximizing commercial opportunities) related to the introduction of new products and services. Also represents Crypto.com on a variety of topics before regulators, financial partners, and other external audiences.
<b><br> Responsibilities</b>
<ul>
<li>You will be part of the Crypto.com Legal team handling legal and regulatory matters involving the following: Markets In Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID); Markets in Financial Instruments Regulation (MiFIR); Investment Firms Regulation and Directive (IFR/IFD); the Regulation on Market Abuse (MAR), and Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA).</li>
<li>Focus on legal and regulatory matters involving a diverse range of financial instruments, including derivatives, and the regulatory requirements of such financial instruments, including access, disclosures, and trade flows.</li>
<li>Lead the processes for filing investment firm licenses and maintaining them under MiFID and other applicable laws and regulations.</li>
<li>Contribute to the process of authorisation as cryptoasset service provider under MiCA regulation.</li>
<li>Assist in the implementation of MiCA, working across the Crypto.com enterprise in order to deliver projects under high priority deadlines.</li>
<li>Draft, review, and update policies/procedures and terms and conditions and other rules related to the trading of MiFID-regulated products.</li>
<li>Assisting in drafting, reviewing and updating policies/procedures and terms and conditions and other rules related to the trading of MiCA-regulated products.</li>
<li>Represent and lead the communication of Crypto.com on a variety of topics with NCAs, ESMA, and other relevant regulators.</li>
<li>Reviewing marketing and sales literature, presentations, and other educational materials for compliance with applicable MiFID and MiCA laws and regulations.</li>
<li>Work with external counsel to ensure our arrangements comply with relevant law and regulation in jurisdictions where we operate.</li>
</ul>
<b><br> Requirements</b>
<ul>
<li>Qualified/licensed lawyer with at least 5 years of experience in financial product legal and regulatory work handling issues for MiFID-regulated clients in a major law firm or as a licensed MiFID entity.</li>
<li>Excellent knowledge of EU financial law (MiFID, EMIR, IFR, IFD, MAR, etc) and track record of going through license processes under these frameworks.</li>
<li>Familiarity with industry practices and professional standards.</li>
<li>Experience implementing markets and traditional finance rules in the EU.</li>
<li>Familiarity with MiCA and willingness to become subject matter expert in the area of this new regulation.</li>
<li>Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.</li>
<li>Strong organizational/project management skills, ability to handle high volume and balance competing demands.</li>
<li>Ability to develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders.</li>
<li>Willingness to accommodate calls and meetings with different time zones when required.</li>
<li>Able to identify problems, issues and able to propose solutions.</li>
