Commercial Litigation Associate (Mid-Level)

Steptoe LLP seeks a mid-level Associate to join the Commercial Litigation practice group in the Firm’s Los Angeles or Century City office. Qualified candidates will have 4 to 5 years of plaintiffs and defense side litigation experience, including experience drafting motions, handling fact and expert discovery, engaging in deposition and trial preparation, and conducting depositions, cross examinations, and other oral advocacy. Candidates should be prepared to assume significant responsibility in the management of their matters, and to take on a front-facing role with clients, opposing counsel, and the courts. Judicial Clerkship experience preferred as is working fluency in Spanish. We anticipate that the associate will also work with lawyers across several of the firm’s other practice groups including Investigations and White-Collar, International Arbitration, Financial Services and Consumer Products groups. California bar membership, excellent academic credentials, and strong writing and analytical skills are required.
