Job Description: Williams Mullen is seeking a motivated and dedicated Tax Associate with 2-6 years’ experience to join our established Tax team in our Richmond, VA office. This is a unique career opportunity to work alongside our top-rated senior trusts and estate attorneys and be given direct responsibility for significant and complex matters with ultra-high net worth clients. Job Requirements: Two to six years of experience and strong interest working with ultra-high net worth clients on complex trust and estate planning, providing guidance and legal counsel to private clients regarding wealth transfer tax planning, business succession planning, income tax planning for individuals and businesses and fiduciary litigation is a plus. Experience with business transactions such as entity formation, limited liabilities companies, and limited partnerships. LL.M. in taxation or estate planning is a plus, but not required. Must be meticulous with details and be able to both work effectively as part of a team, while also being able to assume individual responsibility for client matters involving direct client interaction. Possess a drive for excellence and willingness to take initiative to solve problems. Strong writing credentials and excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills are required. Candidates must be currently licensed in Virginia, immediate waive into Virginia, or be a member of the bar in one or more US Jurisdictions and willing to sit for the Virginia bar.
