Training contract To sustain its growth, Allen & Overy is currently looking for a Junior Associate to join our Public and Environmental Law practice in Brussels. Our Public and Environmental Law practice: Is a market leading international and national public sector practice and is involved in public sector transactions across Europe; Advises on Belgian and EU public law and regulatory matters including constitutional law issues, public procurement, public-private partnerships and mixed entities, environmental law and planning and zoning, regulatory compliance, climate change and carbon trading, privatisations and matters related to EU Institutions; Is the go-to practice for environmental work, including product and waste management regulations, contaminated sites, environmental permitting and noise and nuisance, and advises on the environmental and regulatory aspects of complex project finance and transactions; Advises clients on the implementation of the European Green Deal and climate regulations; Adopts a cross-sectoral approach to sustainable corporate governance and advises clients on existing and future evolutions; Is actively involved in litigation in relation to public and environmental law issues. Who we are looking for You obtained or will obtain a Belgian Master in Law (or its equivalence) with outstanding academic results; You are looking to start your Bar traineeship in 2022 or you have up to two years of experience; You have excellent language skills (English/French/Dutch); You like to work in a team, but you are able to work independently at the same time; You have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
