<div id="jobDescriptionText" class="jobsearch-jobDescriptionText jobsearch-JobComponent-description css-sn7po5 eu4oa1w0"><div> <div> <p><b>POSITION OVERVIEW</b></p> <p> The Corporate Counsel for Casino is a vital legal role within our organization, responsible for providing legal counsel to manage contractual matters and address legal issues impacting the casino's operations. This role involves partnering with various departments to facilitate legally sound business practices.</p> <p><b> ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</b></p> <p> The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:</p> <ul> <li> Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and legal documents related to the casino's business operations, partnerships, and vendors</li> <li> Ensure contracts align with the casino's legal and business objectives</li> <li> Identify potential legal risks and liabilities, providing proactive advice to mitigate such risks</li> <li> Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, finance, compliance, and marketing, to ensure legal alignment in business decisions</li> <li> Temporary or permanent duties and responsibilities may be added to or modified as deemed necessary</li> </ul> <p><b> QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS</b></p> <p> To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must be at least 21 years of age.</p> <ul> <li> Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school, with excellent academic credentials</li> <li> One (1) year of legal experience, preferably in resort and casino environment</li> <li> Prior successful experience as an associate, counsel, or partner</li> <li> Prior successful experience as a transactional corporate in-house counsel is preferred but not required</li> <li> Strong communication skills</li> <li> Capability and experience to work independently and with a team</li> <li> Licensed and in good standing in the State of Nevada</li> <li> Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills</li> <li> Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities</li> <li> Ability to work collaboratively and influence key stakeholders</li> <li> Must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule to include nights, holidays, and weekends</li> <li> Work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment</li> </ul> <p><b> SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES</b></p> <p> This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.</p> <p><b> DIVERSITY COMMITMENT</b></p> <p> Fontainebleau Las Vegas is committed to ensuring an inclusive space and sense of belonging for our Members. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in English may also be required.</p> <p><b> REASONING ABILITY</b></p> <p> Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
