<div id="jobDescriptionText" class="jobsearch-jobDescriptionText jobsearch-JobComponent-description css-sn7po5 eu4oa1w0"><div> <p>This newly created position will play a key role in providing legal leadership for corporate strategy, governance, and assurance activities on a wide range of sustainability (environmental, social and governance) matters across the Coca-Cola system, as well as navigating compliance with rapidly evolving laws, regulations and global standards to help enable our business to deliver against its sustainability goals and targets. The role will include close collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders throughout the Coca-Cola System. </p> <p></p> <p>LOCATION: Atlanta, GA<br> <br> <b>Function Related Activities/Key Responsibilities:</b><b> </b></p> <ul> <li><p>Provide legal expertise on the company’s sustainability disclosure framework with respect to mandatory and voluntary reporting requirements, including the EU’s Corporate Sustainability Directive and proposed SEC rules on climate disclosures and human capital. </p></li> <li><p>Provide day-to-day legal counsel on sustainability-related strategic initiatives globally, including legal review of all sustainability disclosures, including sustainability reports, external communications and regulatory disclosures.</p></li> <li><p> Provide counsel on emerging legal developments, laws, rules, regulations and best disclosure practices related to sustainability programs globally; develop and manage a clear project plan and organizational roadmap for new reporting requirements. </p></li> <li><p>Develop and lead sustainability-reporting network for Legal function to strengthen collaboration with, and to provide training for, operating unit counsel and other key stakeholders. </p></li> <li><p>Collaborate with business partners on the development of appropriate platforms and systems to strengthen the collection of and data governance around information included in the company’s sustainability disclosures. </p></li> <li><p>Provide guidance and leadership on sustainability governance processes and procedures. </p></li> <li><p>Collaborate with environmental counsel, labor and employment counsel and securities counsel on claims review, sustainability priority assessments, and other sustainability disclosure matters. </p></li> <li><p>Serve as an advisor and liaison to Finance; Public Affairs, Communications and Sustainability; Investor Relations; Technical and Innovation; Procurement, and various other business functions.</p></li> <li><p> Support communications related to these matters with the Executive Leadership Team, Board of Directors and key external stakeholders. </p></li> </ul> <p></p> <p><b>Education Requirements:</b></p> <ul> <li><p> Juris Doctorate Degree Required</p></li> </ul> <p><b><br> Related Work Experience:</b></p> <ul> <li><p> 7-10 years of experience in law firm, government and/or corporate legal practice.</p></li> <li><p> Preferred candidate has at least 5 years of experience in a regulatory role related to sustainability reporting and/or experience with SEC reporting. </p></li> <li><p>Comprehensive understanding of sustainability reporting frameworks, including TCFD, CDP, SEC and CSRD.</p></li> </ul> <p></p> <p><b> Functional Skills:</b><b> </b></p> <ul> <li><p>Ability to collaborate effectively and efficiently with varied internal and external stakeholders.</p></li> <li><p> Willingness to build expertise and tackle new challenges in an evolving practice.</p></li> <li><p> Ability to be highly organized and effective, and carefully prioritize work.</p></li> <li><p> A keen ability to generate new ideas and translate them into action.</p></li> </ul> <br> <br> <br> <b>Skills</b> <br> <br> Management Reporting; SEC Compliance; Compliance; Legal Practices; Regulatory Compliance; Sustainability; Regulatory Experience; SEC Regulations; Corporate Governance <p><b><br> Our Purpose and Growth Culture:</b><br> We are taking deliberate action to nurture an inclusive culture that is grounded in our company purpose, to refresh the world and make a difference.
