Consider this opportunity to join our team as Associate Counsel.</p> <p> This position assists Cenlar FSB’s Corporate Legal Department which may include the management and resolution of regulatory or litigation/pre-litigation legal matters and provides advice related thereto, identifies risk, and provides support and guidance to the various business operations regarding the same.</p> <p><b> Responsibilities:</b></p> <p><b> The following duties and responsibilities vary by discipline (Litigation and Regulatory):</b></p> <p><b> Litigation</b></p> <ul> <li>Responsible for the day-to-day management of active routine and increasingly complex litigation</li> <li>Responsible for litigation risk identification and notification.</li> <li>Assists and provides guidance to the various business operations with pre-litigation issues</li> <li>Manages outside counsel and attorney fees</li> <li>Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, including but not limited to compliance and operational risk. Demonstrate consideration for Cenlar’s reputation as well as our clients, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards</li> </ul> <p><b>Qualifications:</b></p> <p><b> Litigation Requirements</b></p> <ul> <li>J.D. and licensed member in good standing of the Bar of at least one U.S. state required</li> <li>A minimum of 5 years of experience in handling mortgage related litigation required</li> <li>Must have knowledge of FDCPA, FCRA, RESPA, TCPA, TILA,</li> <li>Must have good working knowledge of the rules of civil procedures and rules of evidence</li> <li>Must have knowledge of FHA, VA, USDA, GSE, and HAMP servicing rules</li> <li>Must have strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills</li> <li>Must have strong writing skills</li> <li>Ability to handle multiple competing priorities</li> <li>Ability to work independently</li> </ul> <p><b>Total Rewards:</b></p> <p> As an employee-owner at Cenlar, you’ll receive an outstanding benefits package that includes paid medical, dental, and life insurance, 401(k), and tuition assistance as well as opportunities for training and professional advancement.</p> <p> Cenlar is a drug-free workplace and an equal employment opportunity/affirmative action employer M/F/D/V/SO.</p> </div> </div> </div> </div> </div> <p></p></div>
