Description Greenberg Traurig (GT), a global law firm, has an exciting full-time employment opportunity for a mid-level (3-6 year) Associate in the Real Estate Litigation Practice of our Los Angeles office. The Litigation Associate will have the opportunity to work with clients, large and small, from a variety of industries across the country and sometimes internationally. Job Requirements: Candidates should have between three and six years of litigation experience, with an emphasis on real estate matters. Candidates must have excellent academic credentials and strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills. The ideal candidate will have large law firm experience, including experience drafting pleadings and briefs, conducting research, managing traditional and electronic discovery, assisting with and/or taking and defending depositions, and appearing before state and federal courts. Some trial experience and Federal clerkship experience will be a plus. Candidates must be in good standing with the CA Bar. Practice Summary: Greenberg Traurig’s Real Estate Litigation Practice comprises experienced trial lawyers across the country who devote their careers specifically to real estate litigation and the intricacies of the industry. We understand sophisticated deal financing and ownership structures, as well as the unique rules, regulations, and remedies that apply to real estate and real estate secured transactions. We bring a strategic, business-minded approach to problem solving that proactively helps clients achieve their objectives in the most efficient and cost-efficient manner possible – whether in a single locale or across multiple jurisdictions. We represent clients in virtually all forums, including state and federal courts, arbitral organizations and other alternative dispute resolution arenas, as well as federal and state agencies. Owners, developers, secured lenders, loan participants, governmental entities, bondholders, borrowers, landlords, tenants, and others seek our practical guidance on a wide range of issues, including contractual matters such as buy-sell agreement and security enforcement, restructuring and workout of financial obligations, recovering secured or unsecured assets, modifying the relationship of debt and equity, managing and enhancing assets, and acquiring new assets at adjusted cost basis. The expected annualized base salary range for this position is $225,000 to $350,000. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
